Where can I get a marriage license in Washington

You can get a Washington State marriage license in any Washington County and get married in any state. Not all marriage certificates in Washington are refundable. They are valid for 60 days after the three-day waiting period, but once they expire, you will need to buy a new one. Officials have 30 days after the ceremony to return the completed license to the regional council office. Below we will look at the various marriage license application processes in Clark and King Counties.


In Clark County, you have the option to apply online, in person, or by mail. Fill out an online marriage application and submit it in person to the Clark County Audit Office with an identity card. No appointment is required. To get a license by mail from Clark County, apply online and then print out a “notary package” that you can sign in front of your notary. Send a notarized document to the Clark County Audit Office and you will receive your license by mail.

At the time of this writing, King County’s personal services in downtown Seattle have been closed, but you can apply online and get a license by mail. The King County online option is called the King County Wedding Kiosk. Fill in the required fields and send the customer an email with the generated transaction number when you click “Send”.”The Registry Office will contact you to pay by debit or credit card and send you your license by email.

In King County, both of you must fill out a form and get it from a notary to confirm the following: if you have a venereally transmitted infectious health problem, this condition is known to the other applicant; you are not related to the other applicant; you understand that the license will be revoked three days after the expiration date, and you you are not related to the applicant; you understand that if you have a venereally transmitted infectious health problem, then this condition is known to another applicant; you are not related to another applicant; you understand that the license will be issued three days after the expiration date. The application date is invalid and you have to have a wedding in Washington State. Send it along with the documents and fees, and they will send you your license.

Bring your documents

Both persons must have all the necessary documents and identity documents to fill out the application. Blood tests are not required in Washington, cousins cannot marry, and applicants are not allowed to reside in Washington. Check out the information that is available on the Internet in most counties. Proof of identity and age. Both parties must be at least 18 years old, and they must have a valid photo ID, U.S. passport, driver’s license, and military ID. Important information and deadlines. For some forms, you will need your mother’s maiden name and the state of birth or country of birth of both parents. Washington State requires a three-day waiting period. According to state law, there is no waiting deadline.
